Maintenance of oil filter for silent generator:

The oil filter of the silent generator set should be maintained in a timely manner, and the opening pressure of the safety valve should be correctly adjusted to 0.35-0.45 MPa. If the safety valve spring is aged and the valve seat and steel ball are not tightly sealed, the oil will leak a lot and cause the oil in the oil tank to form foam. At this time, the foam oil can be seen by pulling out the dipstick. So the oil should be changed on time to ensure the correct use of the oil filter.

When the oil filter is clogged and the oil cannot pass smoothly, the safety valve on the filter base will open, allowing the oil to enter the main oil passage directly without filtration. However, if the opening pressure of the safety valve is too high to open in time, the internal leakage of the oil pump will increase, and the supply of oil to the main oil passage will decrease, and the oil pressure will correspondingly decrease.

Maintenance of oil pump for silent generator:

Some gear pumps have low roughness on the joint surface between the pump cover and the pump body. Generally, the original design does not add gaskets, but if other paper gaskets are added during maintenance, the end face clearance of the gears will increase and the pump's oil output will decrease. However, there is a gasket at the junction of the pump and cylinder. If it is missing, the pressure oil of the oil pump will leak, causing a decrease in oil pressure.

Some rotary pumps have chamfers on one side of the outer rotor and no chamfers on the other side. If installed in reverse, the oil output can be reduced by 40% -60%. When the radial clearance and end clearance of gears or rotors are too large due to wear, it will lead to adverse consequences. If the oil output of the pump decreases and the oil pressure drops, the repaired oil pump should be placed on the test bench to adjust the opening pressure of the pressure limiting valve and maintain it between the required pressure difference. If the pressure is too high, it will accelerate the wear of the oil pump; If the pressure is too low, it will cause a decrease in pressure in the main oil passage. When maintaining the silent generator oil pump, oil should be added first to prevent air from entering the pump, and the oil should not be sucked in. The connection between the oil pump and the suction cup should be sealed. If there is an air leak, it will reduce the oil output of the oil pump.
